Mrs. Anita Ayibatari Shitu: was born in Lagos on the zs" July, 1962. She hails from Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. She attended Government Girls College, Agege, Lagos State and Federal School of Arts and Science, Victoria Island. Lagos between 1974 - 1979 and 1979 - 1980 respectively. Thereafter, she proceeded to the University of Benin, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Applied Linguistics in 1984. She is an Associate member of
the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM, 1988). She has attended several courses, locally and internationally.
Work Experience: She joined the Federal Civil Service on the 2nd April, 1990 as an Administrative Officer I. She has served in many MDA's namely:
- Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation - 1990 - 2002
- Ministry of Defence - 2002 - 2009
- Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs - 2009 - 2011
- Ministry of Tourism & Culture - 2011- 2015
She was posted to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in August, 2015 as Director Human Resources Management (HRM).
